Elliott Elementary PTO is seeking nominations for Officer Positions for the 2024-2025 PTO Executive Board.

A Nominating Committee has been established to answer questions relative to Board positions and find individuals that may serve on the Board.

If you have the time and interest to serve as an Officer, or would like to nominate an individual, please complete the form linked below beginning on March 5th. Please know that you can nominate yourself! All nominees must consent to the nomination prior to the election.

President: Create and execute meeting agendas, coordinate the work of the additional officers, compose and distribute physical and electronic communication from the board to membership, represent the organization at monthly STM meetings, and work as the main liaison between the PTO and the school and serve as a chairperson on a minimum of one event per year.

Vice-President: Appoint and work alongside all committee chairs, maintain files for standing committees, schedule school assemblies as desired by the school, and perform the duties of the President in their absence as needed.

Secretary: Record the minutes of all meetings, notify all PTO members of upcoming meetings and provide all necessary documentation for those meetings, maintain an electronic file of all documents presented at meetings, schedule and prepare social media information to be seen by membership, and handle all internal communication as necessary.

Treasurer: Keep a full and accurate account of the receipts and expenditures, make disbursements as authorized in accordance with the approved budget, present a financial statement at every membership meeting, provide full access to the accounts for the Auditing Committee and work with the PTO’s independent accountant to prepare and complete the annual 990 as required by the organizations 501(c)(3) status.
